That may be true, but also, it simply has to be worth the time and money to debug and test on all of the various browsers and platforms out there. It was doable at one point in time, but with the explosion of mobile devices it has proven to be much harder. Just ask the Google Pepper Flash folks. And without a corporate backer, you are definitely relying on volunteers and making them march that last mile can be difficult. -Alex
