Hi,

Tried out the installer again (a few times) on windows 7 (in a VM) and all
seemed to work reasonably well - well no errors anyway.

Run on windows XP (in a VM) and got this:

Version 3.0.0 (windows)
Using Locale:en_AU
Fetched the SDK download mirror URL from the CGI.
AIR version 13.0
Flash Player version 13.0
AIR version 13.0
Flash Player version 13.0

1. Why is AIR version/FP version printer twice and why is it trying to get the
config file twice?
3. Is SSL needed? Look like that may be blocked by the windows firewall (or my
setup I'm not sure which) as I get nothing in a browser for that URL but do get
the config file if I just use http rather than https. I think all of the other
URLs are http rather than https. This may be the cause of some of the errors in
google analytics.
4. While you are waiting for the config file to be downloaded (first next), you
can click next button multiple times - this is probably the cause of 1. There
is sometimes a delay of 5-10 seconds or so in getting the config file and there
is no indication that anything is happening. If https call fails there's a
delay of 20 seconds where you can click multiple ties on the next button and
you also end up with multiple error logs being shown. Other that the extra
lines in the log and extra downloads of the config file I'm not sure if this
does anything bad.
5. The new release versions of FP/AIR 13 are missing in the list of options to
select.
6. There about a 30 second delay before the text first shows after starting the
application. Perhaps rather than a busy cursor a message should be put on the
screen - "Getting resources" or the like?
7. While waiting for the text to initially show you can click on the blank next
button and combo boxes. Don't think this does anything bad but they probably
should be disabled.

None of these would be blockers for a release but IMO they are a small step
backwards in terms of user experience from the current installer.

Thanks,
Justin
