The current BusyIndicator has its visuals baked into the component itself. That is not a very good idea. So, I created a new component MobileBusyIndicator [1] and created an android specific skin for it [2]
Once I start working on the iOS7+ theme, I will move the current visualization into a new iOS7 specific skin.
