It is required, I'm afraid. I tested that thoroughly before writing that section. 'constructFlexForIDE' alone doesn't do the job on a Mac. Also, you don't need to run 'ant main' again. The intro to the section says: "If you want to use the SDK you built from source [...]." Can you please revert those changes?
