>>> IIRC, 11.1 is the only/latest version for which Adobe has promised >>>support
>>I read the "Adobe runtime support of Flex" section on >>http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/whitepapers/roadmap.html >>and it says (to my mind) that Adobe doesn't support any version of >>Apache Flex on any version of Player... > Well, you are right that there isn’t an explicit promise [...] Yeah, that is not really a convincing argument ;-) A 'maybe' promise for support, only if it isn't inconvenient... And: >>> for Flex. Also, IIRC, some customers don’t like being forced to go to the >>> latest. I wasn't aware Apache Flex has customers... Adobe does, but Adobe can't have it both ways. Also, again, it is really easy to switch FP/AIR versions using the Installer and the build scripts, so no forcing is going on. Finally, I believe it is industry standard to make the latest, greatest and securest the default and update at every possibility.
