That is not entirely correct. Our experience at the time (not only Flex but also other projects) was that "they'd get to it when they'd get to it", even when we were up to a release and the nightlies wouldn't build. Myself and several others at the time offered to help out, but we were told that wasn't necessary... Hence our desperation and the effort to set up build VMs that were under our full control. Now, I hope the current batch of contributors on Infra is more forthcoming and that your experience actually working with them will be more productive.
