More than a more functional DataGrid? Or a more Spark and/or MX-like component set that reduces migration time for your app? Or being able to write your JS using AS? And what does simpler mean? Since Apache is a do-ocracy, will you help us make it simpler? To folks reading this who are interested in FlexJS: what is the most important two or three things we should be working on? AIUI, Apache Open Office has thousands of users, most of whom can’t build AOO from source. They just want to use the product. I think Flex is similar. Most of our users don’t care if they can build the release from source. You are correct that for both AOO and Flex they should care to the extent that knowing the source is truly open and accounted for and attracting new committers is what keeps a project going. But my sense is that they are mainly focused on getting their apps up and running. The build script was improved in this release such that if you have a couple of known sets of circumstances, like not having any of the repos, that running “ant all” will get all the repos and build them in the right order. But for existing committers like you, who may have repos in different folder structures with different names, it is much harder to make “ant all” work. Anyway, let’s get some concrete suggestions about what else we could do to the build system to make it even simpler. I’m off to bed for tonight. Thanks, -Alex
