>Ok ... if it's all about YOUR priorities I can wait Well, if you are expecting me to do the work, then yes, it is about my priorities. But my priorities are based on what I think the community wants based on what I read on this mailing list and people I talk to in other channels. And I have heard more requests for a Spark-like component set to reduce the overhead of migrating an existing Flex project, and polite requests for help to get E4X working in JS than to get Maven to work in Falcon. There are hundreds of folks on this mailing list. They have caused me to change course before and are welcome to do so again. If I see a lot of folks backing up your request to trade off Maven over reducing migration pain, then I will change my priorities. > >I know I had Falcon building with Maven quite some time ago, but dropped >the ball on that cause I had the crazy Idea about migrating everything to >Antlr4 at the same time. I won't touch the thing (unless to bring it to >Maven) Apache projects are a do-ocracy. Create a branch and get going. And again, if you want to start a discussion on what is going to be required, I'm totally ready to have that discussion now. If you can convince me my part will be easy, it has a better chance that it will happen sooner than later. The reason flex-asjs got re-organized was because I saw that it would not only enable Maven support, but hopefully make it easier for Harbs to figure out how to add a new SWC. If we have to move to Antlr4 first, that's kind of scary, but I'm open to it if you can make the changes and get all current tests to pass. > >At least I will not conrtribute a single line of code till then (and >without Falcon being available as Maven artifacts, working on ASJS >doesn't make any sense) Well, that's your choice. Frankly I worry about statements like these that sound like ultimatums causing new contributors to shy away. It feels more contentious than collegial. If that's how you want to market yourself to several hundred potential customers, I guess I can't stop you. But I wish this list sounded more like we were all working together. -Alex
