Hmm. I don't recall writing that and couldn't find that in my mail folders. Please post the link. I do believe I have said that it is a trade-off between features and making the build easier. As I said before, I try to prioritize what I work on by what I read on this list and what I hear from talking to potential customers. IIRC, the last time this topic came up, more folks supported me continuing to push on features because they felt the build was not a blocker, especially if you are working on the build. > >For me lowering this contribution bounds is the highest priority and I >was hoping to grab you and the others to discuss options of doing this at >ApacheCon. I'm tired of doing a Maven tutorial via Email ;-) Well, then I have the following question for you: If you claim that Maven support for FlexJS is going to open the doors to a whole bunch of new contributors, but you require that each contributor attend a full day of Maven training, how does that match up with the way Apache projects supposedly work? Volunteers with limited spare time are probably going to want or have to learn about Maven over email like I do. I would think that expecting them all to carve out a full day for training would also be a barrier to entry. I appreciate your continued desire and effort to have Apache FlexJS support Maven, and I consider Maven support to be important, but it feels like we continue to expend energy where you try to convince me to drop what I'm doing and work on what you want me to work on. You have the right to do that, but I'd rather just have you continue on with your conversion script, and I will work on features until you are ready. Thanks, -Alex
