Hi Justin, I also had a look at 7zip ... this supports unpacking of dmgs, but in order to do so inside java, there was one 7zip wrapper library, that included the 7zip binaries. Unfortunately the wrapper didn’t support the dmg file type. I opened an issue there, but that’s not resolved yet [1]. Unfortunately I both ran out of time and I didn’t know how to provide the files he was asking for.
Also I had a discussion with apache commons about generalizing my DMG extractor and adding that to apache commons compress. They were quite interested in that, but I haven’t found the time to finish my code. Eventually it would be a good idea to finish it after ApacheCon.
