Dear Flink community, Today we had another bi-weekly for the Apache Flink 1.15 release. The planned feature freeze is just 2 weeks in. In the last two weeks there some progress and some features have been moved to “done”. We are now at 70 % according to the assessments of the responsible ICs.
See the 1.15 release tracking page for more details [1]. # Feature development We can already see a separation of features moving to done and won’t make it. Let’s push to clarify the state asap. # Blockers and instabilities We have been able to get all the blocker and most pressing build instabilities going, still there are way more than there should be. We’d like to ask everyone to also take care of those when working towards the feature freeze. # Bi-weeklies As we are coming closer to the feature freeze we will move to a weekly sync. # Feature freeze In the sync some contributors mentioned that they would benefit from pushing the feature freeze by a week. There will be a dedicated email on the dev mailing list for this. # Release blog post We started to work on the release blogpost. In case someone wants to contribute or has some input feel free to reach out to us. Let’s get this shipped! Best, Till, Yun Gao & Joe [1] https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FLINK/1.15+Release
