Hi, devs, This is the first meeting for Flink 2.1 release cycle after feature freeze. I'd like to share the information synced in the meeting.
- Feature Freeze On June 21th we announced the 2.1 feature freeze in the thread[1], and as planned, I'll cut out the release-2.1 branch on the 25th and start the crossings team testing. - Features: As of feature freeze time, we have collected a total of 15 FLIPs, and we have completed 14 of them so far, except for FLIP-498. 2.1 Feature FLIPs related to the main story have all been completed, and the overall progress is in line with expectations. - CI: So far, we have one unstable caseļ¼ 1. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-37892: This is an issue that has existed since release-2.0, Becket is locating the root cause, which doesn't affect the 2.1 release. - Benchmark 1. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-37826: No progress, confirm with Zakally, it doesn't affect the 2.1 release - Sync meeting: The next meeting time after feature freeze is 07/02/2025, Please feel free to join us[3]!
