This is the summary of today's Flink 2.3 release sync meeting. We are currently blocked on finding owners for some cross-team testing tasks. FLINK-39454 is the umbrella issue [1].
These 2 FLIPs need someone to verify if testing is required and, if so, to write the testing instructions: FLIP-558: Improvements to SinkUpsertMaterializer and changelog disorder FLIP-565: Improve ProcessTableFunctions for late data handling and state access These 4 FLIPs have testing instructions, and need to be tested: FLIP-555: Native S3 File System FLIP-549: Support Application Management FLIP-487: Show history of rescales in Web UI for AdaptiveScheduler FLIP-560: Application Capability Enhancement As discussed in an earlier thread [2], the Azure night run has problems that are being tracked in [3]. Qingsheng Ren is looking into this. Following a discussion here on this list [4], we are not blocking this release on the performance regression involving compression that was caught by the benchmark suite [5]. Most of the necessary JIRA updates have been completed. A few issues still need to be moved forward to the 2.4 release.
