Hello everyone, On behalf of the PMC, I'm happy to announce that Weiqing Yang [1] has accepted the invitation to become a Flink Committer.
Weiqing first became involved with Flink as a user in 2021 and has been an active contributor and reviewer since 2025. She has made substantial contributions to Flink Agents and the broader Flink project. Her work in Flink Agents spans runtime architecture, Java and Python APIs, reliability, observability, and contributor infrastructure. In Flink core, Weiqing authored and drove three accepted FLIPs: FLIP-497 (Early Fire Support for Flink SQL Interval Join), FLIP-527 (State Schema Evolution for RowData), and FLIP-485 (Add UDF Metrics). Beyond her code contributions, she has been active in design discussions, code reviews, release verification, contributor support, and community events.
