Hi all, We held our second release sync for 2.4 on 18th September 2026. The main focus of this meeting was going through the FLIP list registered in the release document [1] and aligning on how we track and record them.
FLIPs that were already released in 2.3 (or earlier) and are duplicated in the 2.4 page were removed from the 2.4 list. FLIPs that were only partially released in 2.3 will stay in the 2.4 list, but with a note in the row stating that part of the feature was already released in 2.3. We recorded the completion status of registered FLIPs (e.g. 2 of 5 done / not started), and mark FLIPs whose status we could not determine at all. The goal is to let the release team get a quick overview. We updated the Blockers/Bugs/Flaky Test cases tickets[1]. BTW, Two points for the wider community: There are still JIRA tickets in Open status listed in the Status / Follow-ups section of the release page [1]. If you are interested in fixing any of them, please feel free to claim them. If you have a FLIP or a major change that will go into 2.4 and is not yet registered in the wiki [1], please register it yourself or raise it on the dev mailing list.
