Flink’s contribution guide requires contributors to disclose AI assistance
through the PR-template checkbox and a {{Generated-by:}} commit trailer.
Some Flink repositories have no PR template, while others have a template
without the AI-disclosure section.
FLINK-39477 introduced this guidance for the main Flink repository. Its closing
comment explicitly invites follow-up tickets for other Flink-owned repositories.
This umbrella tracks completing PR-template coverage across Flink repositories:
- Where no PR template exists, add a minimal, repository-appropriate template
that includes AI disclosure.
- Where a template exists but lacks AI disclosure, add the disclosure section
while preserving existing guidance.
- Reuse the current disclosure wording from apache/flink, adapting
repository-specific references and replacing references to nonexistent
AGENTS.md files with the contribution-guide link.
- Leave repositories that already have suitable disclosure sections unchanged.
Track each required repository change through a separate subtask or linked
issue, following that repository’s contribution process, with one PR per
repository. Before starting each change, check existing tickets, assignments,
ownership comments, and open PRs to avoid duplicating work.
- Adding AGENTS.md files or introducing new contribution-policy requirements
is outside this umbrella’s scope.
