With execution.checkpointing.file-merging.enabled set to true, a savepoint
written by
the State Processor API from a retained checkpoint stops being restorable once
the
source checkpoint is deleted or subsumed. The savepoint is written with no
error and
no warning.
Running the same steps with file merging disabled gives a savepoint that keeps
working
after the source checkpoint is gone.
I have a local reproduction and will attach it along with the fix.
