The StateSource family checks list and union operator state redistribution
inside the source. A
Source V2 reader cannot hold that state, so the checks move to a downstream
CheckpointedFunction;
SubtaskIndexSource itself fits AbstractTestSource. The two classes are near
copies and go together.
