The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Forrest has asked Sjur Moshagen to become a committer and member of the PMC, and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted.
Sjur has been around since early 2004. He often helps on the mailing lists and has been contributing to the architectural and RT threads. He is a respectful person and easy to work with. He has made a few past code contributions, and described bugs and done followup, and is starting to make more substantial contributions. Sjur seems to have a good grasp on the internals of Forrest and knows how to use Cocoon. Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since there is no need to go via the patch submission process. This should enable better productivity. Being a PMC member enables assistance with the management and to guide the direction of the project. On behalf of the Forrest project i would like to welcome Sjur. -David
