Would it be an option to add a property like
UseNewPropertySystem that defaults to "no" if not set but is
set to "yes" in the default properties from 0.9 on?
That way we could move properties for the 0.4 version of
pdf-plugin (and most others including core) right away.
Since we need a lot more properties for pdf soon (as
Johannes already documented earlier on, the alternative
would be for users of older Forrests to add all these new
settings as soon as they upgrade.
