If changing our method to delivering the plugins as source along with the "core" release, then this would confuse our deployment system for plugins. http://forrest.apache.org/docs/plugins/usingPlugins.html#sources "Forrest will try and retrieve a plugin from local source files first, if that fails it will look on a remote distribution server." So the user would never receive an updated version of a plugin. -David
