You can use this add-on for testing, but you need to add an image to your Addons.xcu which can be mapped to a simple button. The request for enhancement wants to have support to query for add-on images for ordinary toolbar buttons. Currently the implementation separates normal Toolbars and add-on toolbars. Ordinary toolbars don't query for add-on images as they normally don't have add-on buttons. I will send you via e-mail an extended version of the test add-on and a Basic script which adds a toolbar button with an associated add-on image.
