I've done a little UNO macro programming (in Java/Groovy) for Writer
documents, and I've spent a fair bit of time browsing around the many
openoffice.org project web sites (api, frameworks, odftoolkit, et al)
and this is still not completely clear to me.
What I'd like to do is manipulate HTML documents in Writer (and the
other applications too, but this is where I'm starting) using the W3C
DOM API.
I'm thinking that the ODFToolkit project may result in such a thing
(although perhaps not, since the emphasis seems to be on applications
that don't use OpenOffice), and that leads me to believe that an
appropriate UNO API does not exist (yet).
But I've seen some things mention DOM, and I'm still a bit overwhelmed
by the UNO API documentation (even after buying Pityonak's book), so I'd
hate for what I need to be there and just not know it.
Thanks in advance for any help!
