I fear that your patch doesn't solve the root cause of the issue. The issue describes that the focus is set to another control whenever you click on the up/down arrows. That problem is not solved by your patch. Please look for a call "GrabFocus" which is mainly evil, but sometimes needed. I think there must be code that uses GrabFocus which results in this defect.
