Looking at the code changes in CWS newregdlg, I wonder whether it would
not have been better to move any brand specific text into brand specific
resources (e.g., the ooo*.res vs. iso*.res from svx/source/intro; also
see
<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/ODF_Toolkit/Efforts/Three-Layer_OOo>
for more on the forthcoming basis/brand split), instead of using the
dubious org.openoffice/Setup/Product/ooOpenSourceContext registry item
(quoting from a Sun-internal mail thread: "[SB:] SO has just one
(default) icon set, whereas OOo has a (different) default icon set plus
four addtional ones. Whether or not 'Tools - Options... - <PRODUCT> -
View - User Interface - Icon size and style' is enabled (to select among
multiple icon sets) is controlled by the
org.openoffice/Setup/Product/ooOpenSourceContext configuration item (and
that appears to be the sole use of that item). [...] In case
ooOpenSourceContext is no longer needed to control enabling of the 'Icon
size and style' controls, would it be OK to remove this entry completely
from the OOo 3 configuration trees? [...] [KA:] This can be removed if
no one else objects. It was indeed primarily invented for the
integration of multiple icon themes in OOo.").
