I'm not aware of such activity. Also, while implementing something
similar to FreeMarker in JavaScript is possible, it would be very
difficult to implement something that's close to the Java version (in
terms of template portability), because of the lot of built-ins and
date formatting, etc. (For something minimalist like Mustache it's of
course much easier to do.)
