The out-of-box supported output formats are listed here (the user can define their own output formats too): http://freemarker.incubator.apache.org/builds/2.3.24-rc01/_html/dgui_misc_autoescaping.html#dgui_misc_autoescaping_outputformat > Also I am interested in the FM3.0. I have plans, or rather a somewhat unorganized and constantly shifting pile of topics to address in FM 3. Hence no docs yet. I will cut up the task to smaller "milestones", and as we go, all of them will be discussed. Lot of difficult topics anyway, so it would be just hopeless to do it otherwise. In this first iteration, I will just get rid of stuff that's clearly historical baggage (bugs that has become "features" for the sake of backwards compatibility, deprecated features). Then probably the next thing will be adding null-awareness to FTL3 (where "missing" and "exists but null" are different). That's on of the top FTL2 annoyances. Next probably comes #var/#set instead of #assign & friends, with block(!) scoping. And TemplateMapModel instead of TemplateHashModel, means, no more no-non-string-keys nonsense. So even if I'm hit by truck at that point and nobody jumps in, we already have an FM2 without the top annoyances. Then will come the more ambitious stuff... When? I think for at least 3 months from now, I won't have much time for anything. Other than that "little problem", we can consider it started... > Pradeep. -- Thanks, Daniel Dekany > ________________________________________ > From: Daniel Dekany <[email protected]> > Sent: Friday, January 29, 2016 5:25 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: What's next... > > I mean, unless someone says otherwise... > > 2.3.24-rc01-incubating is already downloadable at > http://www.apache.org/dist/incubator/freemarker/, but as policy says > to wait 24 hours before announcement, we do.
