As some of you might know, the most widely used Eclipse plugin used for editing FreeMarker templates is part of the JBoss Tools project. JBoss Tools 4.4.1 (and Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio 10.1) was released recently, and contains lot of improvements in the FreeMarker plugin. See: http://tools.jboss.org/blog/
Note that it's possible to install the plugin alone, without the other parts of JBoss Tools. In Eclipse, go to "Help" / "Eclipse Marketplace...", search for "JBoss Tools" version 4.4.1, "Install". A tree of check boxes will appear, uncheck all (by unchecking the root) except "FreeMarker IDE". -- Thanks, Daniel Dekany
