Hello everybody,
in issue 1 (http://fsvs.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1) I got a problem report that fsvs crashes on a current gentoo box. I had a look last night (remote logging in), but could not find a bug in fsvs (although I cannot say there is none, of course :-). My current ideas regarding the problem source are: - gentoo kernel (tested 2.6.22, 2.6.23), using NFS - libc6 v2.7 The problem is that realloc() aborts with the message that the heap is corrupted; valgrind doesn't yet run on libc6=2.7, else we'd have testet. Now I'd like to ask gentoo users: - which kernel, libc6 are you running? - is it stable (I'd assume yes, else I'd have heard) - are you by chance using NFS? If there are any other users running 2.6.22 or 2.6.23, or using libc6=2.7, or having NFS directories versioned, I'd like to hear from them, too. Maybe we can eliminate some factors, to find the problem source. Please answer only to users@; I'd like to keep the dev@ thread centered on technical detail. Thank you! Regards, Phil -- Versioning your /etc, /home or even your whole installation?
