Philipp Blum commented on GEARPUMP-88:
--------------------------------------

For simple resource allocation, you don't need to use a framework over mesos.
Flink uses also mesos directly but has also the option for HA with restarting
of node. Can be implemented with both aurora and marathon. Marathon is written
in the documentation, aurora not.
I only use aurora. DC/OS and Marthon have both an Apache 2.0 Licence but both
are owned by a company who want to sell consulting. I'm not that happy about
this fact. Regarding to Oracle I'm more happy with a non-profit organisation.
You will never know what will happen in the future.

> [Apache Mesos | http://mesos.apache.org/] is a [widely used |
> http://mesos.apache.org/documentation/latest/powered-by-mesos/] resource
> scheduler. It will help to increase Gearpump's adoption with Mesos support.
