Hi Rupert and Anthony, Thanks for your initiative, Rupert! It’s great to see community members step up like this. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do to help with the release without being a committer or ideally a PMC member, since the vast majority of steps require committer credentials. This means that at best you’d be able to learn for future releases by watching someone else do the tasks. I encourage you to keep contributing and seek becoming a committer or even PMC member at which point it’s gonna be fabulous to have you step up as a release manager.

Part of the Geode and ASF release process is identify a Release Manager to collect the changes, prepare a release candidate, and publish the release binaries.
