Hello, Sai! I believe that tomorrow 8/28 we will be at a place where we can cut a Geode release. The documentation on the release process states that elevated privileges will be required on the various systems (JIRA, Confluence, Docker Hub, etc.). Is this something you can help with? If so, we’d like to have a call to go over the steps and make sure we have everything we need. We are typically available during the day in EST time zone but let me know if this won’t work for you.
Thanks! It has been quite a while since I have done a release, not even sure about permissions these days, but should be able to request if I do not have them. I will be busy for the next few weeks, so we might think of a release middle to late August unless someone else can pick it up. Sai, are you able to help with any release activities? Looking forward getting the next release out the door. I have looked over this document in Confluence<https://protect.checkpoint.com/v2/r01/___https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/GEODE/Releasing+Apache+Geode___.YzJ1OnNhc2luc3RpdHV0ZTpjOm86Zjg3YmFlYmM5ZWUyY2NjMGYxOWI3OGVkY2FlOWMwNGE6Nzo5MjY5OjhkOTlmMWZjMjNhZmFiZWFhMTA3NjJjN2Y1YWUwOThkNzk5ODEwNGM5YzAzM2EyOWMwNjYzMzI5YmMyMGUxYTA6aDpUOk4> and it's clear that an administrator with permissions/keys to all the requisite systems will be needed. Who do I talk to about gaining these administrative privileges, or is there an administrator we can work with to move the process along? Thanks, William Hodges
