Looks pretty good to me. I'd suggest a slight edit #3: Once a contributor shows a consistent history of participating in the development process or community *and has demonstrated that they understand the development process and standards can be trusted with commit access*, a Committer should nominate them to the Apache Geode PPMC for consideration to become a Committer.
I would remove #2 - it's a good point, but it's not really helping someone understand what the criteria are for becoming a committer -Dan On Thu, Jan 7, 2016 at 11:06 AM, Jens Deppe <[email protected]> wrote: > +1 > > On Thu, Jan 7, 2016 at 10:49 AM, Greg Chase <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Greetings, > > Per the discuss thread on this topic, I've added new text to our wiki > page > > describing how to become a Committer. > > > > This text includes a generalized description of what I believe the > > consensus is in the discussion thread. > > > > Changed page can be found here: > > https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/GEODE/Becoming+a+committer > > > > Lazy consensus applies. > > > > -Greg > > >
