HOWLLogger has been updated to use howl's XALogger and its commit tracking. We
are currently logging more than we need in commit and rollback due to a npe in
howl. I'll discuss this with the howl team.

Description:
HOWL now provides mark management. We should be using it since ours has some
problems as one can sometimes see in stack traces.
