Does anyone experience this, too? It's probably something with the plan, isn't it? The sources are taken using m:update and the build invoked via m:rebuild.
It now should work fine. It was because some classes from geronimo-transaction changed their packages and OpenEJB wasn't in sync. See OpenEJB's assembly/src/plan/j2ee-server-plan.xml for reference.
