Chris Cardona commented on GERONIMO-944:
----------------------------------------

Geir restored it under /sandbox/mail. I tried using it but I got an exception
when sending out a test mail using the SMTP provider. Here's the link to my
dev-list post:

> I'm not sure what the state is of our JavaMail implementation. I know we
> have our own spec JAR and I think I've heard that we have our own SMTP
> provider, but that it's not part of the Geronimo distribution and as a result
> the Sun JavaMail provider is recommended. I'd like to straighten this out
> for M5 so we can provide basic JavaMail resource mapping (at least for
> outgoing mail via SMTP) as part of the standard package.
> If this is not possible for some reason, please retarget this issue to 1.0
> and suggest a path forward. Thanks.
