Joe Bohn commented on GERONIMO-922:
-----------------------------------

I don't think that we have addressed this issue fully. However, I did take a
look at the recent updates (putting the New Deploy on it's own page -
GERONIMO-1153 ... and changes to remove the "all configurations" view). These
changes do make things much more manageable for the user. At the moment, the
largest set of G items that the user would need to ignore is 5 on the Web App
WAR view. While not perfect, this is an improvement, Given that, I would be
fine with closing this issue for now. If we hear concerns from the user
community, re-introduce the "All Configurations" view, or continue to increase
the number of G configurations that a user must ignore I will re-open this
issue.

> Provide a simple filter to show or hide Geronimo system applications in the
> Application views.

> There are many cases where a user that has installed an application server
> wants to manage just the applications/components that he has installed (ie.
> the reason he installed the server to begin with) Right now we show every
> system application/component in the various views thereby making it confusing
> and cluttered to see the applications that the user really cares about. But
> there are times when the user might want to see the system applications such
> as when developing components that will be included as part of Geronimo or
> during problem determination.
> We should provide a way to hide the system applications so they can manage
> just the applications that they have installed without having to deal with
> everything that Geronimo installs itself as part of the configuration.
