Aaron, Joe and others,
I have few questions about the WebConnector. I must
admit that I have not kept track of the patches that
were submitted. May be some of these issues have
already been decided.
1. Are there any plans to make
NetworkConnector/WebConnector a J2EEManagedObject? If
yes, their statistics can be made available without
the changes proposed in 2.
2. If not, The connector statistics can be made
available via WebContainer as follows (using JSR 77
notations) -
WebContainerStats :
+ getConnectors() : WebConnectorStats[]
+ get......... : ...Statistic
+ ............ : .............
WebConnectorStats:
+ .....................................
To do this, StatsImpl will also have to be
changed -
. Add a method addStat(String name, Stats value)
. Change Statistic[] getStatistics() method to
take care of the new structure.
These changes will be required in the
future to implement things like JMSStats defined in
JSR77.6.24.
I would like to use either 1 or 2 to make
Tomcat Connector Statistics available.
