Hi Greg,

I'd say 'yes'. I think Dave B. summed it up nicely:

"We need to follow through on Geronimo 1.x for a few release cycles,
get some user feedback, learn the lessons we need to learn for a
while, *then* start Geronimo 2.0."

with a comment by Jason:

"the trunk should be used for feature development for 1.1"

and then Dave B again:

"All that said, I do think it's a positive thing to explore JEE 5 and
experiment with ideas.  I just think we need to be absolutely sure
that it doesn't overshadow 1.x."

So, branch the trunk and move on. When you're done, it will be merged
with the trunk. Does it sound good?

I can't answer the question, but wonder what you miss before moving
on? I think that the deployers would certainly have to be "enhanced"
to accept 2.5 deployment descriptors.
