Hi Greg, I'd say 'yes'. I think Dave B. summed it up nicely: "We need to follow through on Geronimo 1.x for a few release cycles, get some user feedback, learn the lessons we need to learn for a while, *then* start Geronimo 2.0." with a comment by Jason: "the trunk should be used for feature development for 1.1" and then Dave B again: "All that said, I do think it's a positive thing to explore JEE 5 and experiment with ideas. I just think we need to be absolutely sure that it doesn't overshadow 1.x." So, branch the trunk and move on. When you're done, it will be merged with the trunk. I think that the deployers would certainly have to be "enhanced" to accept 2.5 deployment descriptors. Jacek
