There is a subtle problem with fixed delay timers right now.  Because timers 
execute asynchronously, the underlying timer events should behave more like a 
fixed rate timer than a fixed delay timer.  Sorry, since I was aware of this 
problem, I didn't look closely at the code you mentioned, just assumed you were 
referring to that.
