Aaron Mulder closed GERONIMO-1664:
----------------------------------

    Fix Version: 1.1
     Resolution: Fixed

Now there is the import/export portlet and the command line tool. With this,
Geronimo can suck configurations directly from another Geronimo server, or if
you use the console to export the CAR and write the metadata file by hand, from
a Maven repository.

Marking this as fixed in 1.1 even though I haven't technically merged it in
there yet, but I mean to and I don't think it makes sense to keep this issue
hanging around.

> It would be nice to have the option to export (from both command line and
> Admin Console) applications as well as any other configuration (connection
> pools, security realms, entire server configuration, etc).
> Having the export capability will provide an alternative method for moving
> applications and configurations across Geronimo servers. It would also
> support/promote a standard procedure for backup and restore.
