I agree with Dave's analysis.

Also, I don't like the fact that the patch has a hardcoded port in the redirect 
URL, or that it wasn't made from the Geronimo root directory.

I think we should forget about the console and if the user opts to install the 
plugin, just load up the plugin installer and do the install right then and 
there and then redirect the user to the example page.
