I'll jump on that band wagon too. My m1 build on trunk works (or at
least it does with my image from a few days ago). I'm going to give m2 a
try later today, but would prefer to know that I have at least one way
to build geronimo until the m2 build changes are complete.

I second that. No need to rush to M2 until it's fully workable
solution. We may not break trunk only because few of us want to move
to M2 whereas others might want to look into other areas, but be
unable to work on them.
