I agree with Dain.
Though I'd like to note... that if out site was generated from
confluence, and the home pages of each tool was also in confluence
(the same instance), then each subprojects homepage could have an
{excerpt} to describe it and then we could bring back the sub-
projects overview page with links and excerpts with relatively little
management overhead.
But short of doing that I don't think there is much value in trying
to maintain the sub-projects overview page by hand.

I have two problems with this page. It is clear that creating text
for these links is not happening in a reasonable amount of time
which is a strong sign that people don't value this page. Second,
I see this page as link overhead. It is simply some text between
me and the content I desire. Each of the sub projects has a home
page and this is really what I am after, not some brief summary.
+1 to remove the subprojects top tab and page

The idea was to have a single page listing all the subprojects and
a brief description of what each subproject is, just a few lines.
That brief description should tell enough whether that is the
subproject you (as a user) are insterested on or not.
In addition to this intro page listing all the subprojects there
is a new box dedicated to subprojects with direct links to each of
them.
I don't think the subprojects page is a waste as it should be an
intro page, I wouldn't remove it.

Why do we need the subprojects page at all? Each of the
subprojects should have its own home page that describes what it
is.
This extra page is a waste... and is another chance to get the
site out of sync as people forget to update in both locations.
Lets remove this page.

Jacek,
I added those entries there and commented them as we still
don't have the final "text" to describe those subprojects. I
personally could not find the right wording but hope somebody
else can :)
Pls feel free to update the text and uncomment that entry. Make
sure you add the link in the xdocs\stylesheets\project.xml
too. (there should be three updates, one to the subprojects,
one to the stylesheets\project and one to the XBean page itself).
Cheers!

Should a link be added on the

The XBean poms also need to be updated with the new website
address
instead of http://xbean.org
I've taken a look at xdocs/subprojects.xml and noticed this:
<!-- <subsection name="GBuild">
<p>
The aim of this subproject is to provide
sample_sample_sample_sample_sample_sample_sample_. More details
about
this subproject are available at the <a href="gbuild.html">GBuild
Subproject</a> page.

Why have these bits been commented out? If they were
uncommented, it'd
do the trick, wouldn't it?
I'm going to revert it to the uncommented state, unless
someone objects.
