We will never have everything related to the site authored completely
from the wiki. Even with the wiki setup, the images, styles and
scripts are controlled by the existing svn mechanism. I do not plan
to change that.

It sounds good. Quick question, how will we maintain these rules
once we are using confluence for authoring the site?
I would like to keep a single authoring tool, do you think we could
manage it as an attachment on the site's space?
Cheers!

Any objection to changing the meta http-equiv="refresh" pages for
redirects/* to use .htaccess RewriteRules?
Doing so will avoid the need for users to see the "Redirecting
your request..." messages. We can also use the rules to redirect
urls w/o page names, so like:
http://geronimo.apache.org/issues -> http://issues.apache.org/
jira/browse/GERONIMO
http://geronimo.apache.org/wiki -> http://cwiki.apache.org/
geronimo
...
How about it?
