Folks,Dain has volunteered to be the 1.2 release manager and Alan has also volunteered to be the co-pilot. I have not seen a formal discussion or vote on this. I don't know that we have a "policy on this" so I'm starting the discuss thread. At some point in the past Aaron volunteered to do 1.2 as well but I don't recall closure on his volunteering.
Also, note that only PMC members have binding votes on the release of Apache software.
