The poms in the m1 repo and in the m2 repo are already different. Maven 1 pom are translated to maven 2 pom when the replication on the m2 repo happen afaik.

Yes, but they are available in the m2 repo, no idea why.
One problem is that there wasn't an indication of a problem during the release cycle which is something we'll have to fix going forward.
See my first point. Those errors can not be part of the build.
