Misuse of maxMessages on the ActivationSpec
-------------------------------------------
Key: AMQ-1105
URL: https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/AMQ-1105
Project: ActiveMQ
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Connector
Reporter: Guillaume Nodet
It seems the maxMessages given to the connection when creating a connection
consumer
is usually used to allow a maximum number of messages to be dispatched for a
single ServerSession
run (so the WorkManager is not exhaust by ever lasting works ?).
Currently, this parameter is used to indicate the destination prefetch size.
