David Jencks commented on GERONIMO-3448:
----------------------------------------
EJB's are supposed to be prohibited from starting new threads. The work
manager spec proposed for javaee 6 apparently does specify the behavior you
want for use of the executor.
> New threads launched from an EJB do not run as the same Subject as the
> launching thread

> New threads launched from an EJB context do not run as the same Subject as
> the thread that launched it. This causes a failure when this new thread
> calls an EJB with restricted method permissions. Looks like JBoss and BEA
> Weblogic carry over Subjects to new threads that are launched from within an
> EJB.
