David Jencks closed GERONIMO-1662.
----------------------------------
Resolution: Invalid
Since there have been no other comments on this I'm closing it as user error.
Normally in an application server environment you want to use the app servers
transaction management. If you are in a standalone environment I'm assuming
that since you don't show any attempt to commit the transaction, you aren't
committing it: the message can only be made available for delivery after the
transaction commits.
If there is an actual problem taking the above into consideration please reopen.

> Hi,
> I observed the following when I was trying to port my MDBs on Geronimo.
>
> Session session = connection.createQueueSession(true,0);
> Queue queue = session.createQueue("PhaniQueue1");
> MessageProducer sender = session.createProducer(queue);
> TextMessage message = session.createTextMessage("add item");
> ....
> .....
> sender.send(message);
>
> When the message is sent to "PhaniQueue1", an MDB has to pick it up. But in
> this case, it is not happening. No error in console or logs.
>
> When I change transactional session to non-Tx one, the message will be
> successfully processed..
> Session session =
> connection.createQueueSession(false,Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
> I have also tested with standalone ActiveMQ. It is failing there also.
>
> Thanks
